Holiday Apple Relish by Rick Sutton
6 cups chopped apples
2 red peepers, chopped
2 green peppers, chopped
1 cup finely chopped onion
1 1/2 cups sugar
1 tsp. mustard
1/4 tsp. turmeric
1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
1 cup water
Cook in medium sauce pan over low heat for 45 minutes to 1 hour. Prepare 10-12 jam jars by heating in water. Boil jam jar seals and lids in a separate sauce pan and let sit in hot water. Pour relish into hot jars and quickly cover with seals and lids. Let cool on counter. Be sure lids have completely sealed once sold. Refrigerate after opening. Makes a great hostess gift!
