Christmas Dinner: Scalloped Potatoes by Dianne Biondolillo

1 1/2 cups milk or half and half
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/4 tsp. paprika
2 tablespoons flour
4 tablespoons butter
1/4 cup chopped onion
3 lbs. white potatoes, peeled and thinly sliced

In large sauce pan heat milk, salt, pepper, paprika. Set aside. In a greased glass 9×13 inch dish, layer one half of the sliced potatoes, and 1/2 of the chopped onion. Sprinkle one tablespoon of flour over potatoes and dot with two of the tablespoons of butter. layer with the second half of potatoes, onion and sprinkle with 1 tablespoon of flour and dot with two tablespoons butter. Pour heated milk mixture over entire pan. Cover with foil and bake at 350 degrees for one hour. Uncover and bake an add 30 minutes or until potatoes are lightly brown and tender.
