New Year’s Appetizers: Stuffed Mushrooms by S. Rodino

1 lb package mushrooms
2 tablespoons oil
1/4 cup chopped onion
1/2 clove garlic, crushed
1/3 cup Italian bread crumbs
1 tablespoon chopped parsley
1/8 tsp. oregano
3 tablespoons grated Ramono cheese
1/2 tsp. salt

Remove stems from mushrooms. Set aside mushroom caps.Finely chop stems.In large pan saute onion, oil, garlic and finely chopped stems. remove from heat and add bread crumbs, parsley, oregano, cheese and salt. Stuff mushroom caps and place on lightly greased cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 30 minutes.
